I got my sea legs in public relations while serving on active duty in the Navy. I have 13+ years of public affairs/public relations and marketing experience ranging from leading a multimedia journalism team, covering academia, creating tourism & hospitality marketing strategies, serving as a public information officer for local county government, and working in a fast-paced agency environment.

As a result, Facebook metrics saw a 66% increase in impressions and 197% increase in engagements, 107% increase in link clicks, month over month. • Created corporate crisis communications strategy for in-house public relations team and launched crisis communications social media consultation service for external client portfolio. Both were leveraged to proactively communicate with key audiences in response to the Ukraine/Russia Conflict.

• Respond to media queries from the Pentagon Press Corps, including outlets such as AP and the New York Times, emphasizing strategic messaging and showcasing communications lines of effort. • Awarded 2021 Sailor of the Quarter Q3 for innovative communications strategy and exemplary leadership of junior communications personnel resulting in 4.25M total impressions on social platforms. • Awarded Graphic Designer of the Year, 2015, for a creative infographic educating Sailors on Ramadan in preparation for a port visit to Dubai during the religious holiday. • Develop, manage, and provide training on standard operating procedures for digital marketing and social media strategy. Assess strategy effectiveness on a quarterly basis.
